8 x 12 oil on linen panel
I suppose he is crowing about his recent weight loss. This rooster is rather skinny by rooster standards, to me. I found him in a magazine and thought the photo would adapt well to this vertical piece of linen that I had. Funny how you can really see your errors once you post your paintings - they just jump out at you! I might have to fine tune him a bit.
Maybe he's just stretched out to his full glory. I find I see errors in the photos I take of my paintings and can't imagine how I missed them before. Chickens/roosters are always fun.
