Quick study of more city streets.  I'm not sure where I took this photo but I am always hanging my camera and head out of the car trying to take photos while my husband is driving - some work and some don't - many are just blurs!

New one I painted today - it's been a long time since I even picked up a brush.  I don't think I have painted for the last 3 or 4 weeks.  The reference was taken for this when we visited Charleston for a wedding in the Fall of 2013.  I had never been before and what a treat for the eyes the town was--so picturesque!

I've been working on this for a couple of sessions and I'm not sure I'm completely through with it.  There were more people in the street and I had to take a little creative license in places.

More work on this one today....had to quit fiddling with it because I caught myself bringing out the small brushes and overworking.

It has been almost 2 months since I last painted and I am majorly rusty!!!!  I pulled my brushes out this a.m. and started on this initial block-in.  I have a long way to go but am fairly satisfied with the values thus far.... I feel certain it is going to take several more sessions.  I haven't painted in so long I really struggled with getting the feel of it again.

Back to painting after more than a week off!  It's tough getting the feel back.   I picked something pretty tough for me because I combined three different reference photos to come up with this.   We have been out of town and I have had company and my camera broke!   Many excuses not to paint.  I am sad about my camera and am using an old one that I have really forgotten how to operate--guess I will be forced to pull the manual out and re-read.
